Loving It Raw

Raw Vegan Food - The Alison and Jaye Show Episode 12

To achieve raw food health, you must fuel yourself with enough raw vegan food.

You need to eat enough so that you have tons of energy for intensive exercise and so that you can fully thrive as a raw vegan.

So what is 'enough'?

This depends on a number of factors and the best way to figure it out is to go onto nutridiary.com and check how many calories you need to maintain your current weight, then enter your intake for a couple of days to make sure you are eating enough.

It is very hard to overeat on fruit and vegetables, but many who are new to a raw vegan lifestyle tend to under-eat, as the volume of food is so much greater per calorie than cooked foods which are much denser.

A rule of thumb is that men should get around 3000 calories a day, and woman around 2000.

So how much fruit and veg does this translate to? Well, some heavy lifting in bringing it in from the car, I can tell you that much.

Jaye gives us a tour of approximately 5-7 days worth of fruit and vegetables for two low fat, 801010 raw vegans, living on fruits and vegetables exclusively.
